Statement on the ÖKO-TEST Rating for Töpfer Diaper Rash Cream

Today we are writing to you regarding the recent rating of our previous Töpfer Diaper Rash Cream (Wundschutzpaste) in the June issue of ÖKO-TEST, which received an overall rating of "satisfactory". The product tested there was based on an earlier formula that is no longer available on the market.

New Formula & Store Availability

We decided several weeks ago to launch a new diaper rash cream with a completely revised formula. According to current plans, it will be available in stores at the end of June.

Mineral Raw Materials, Lead Traces & Independent Expert Opinion

In its assessment of the previous diaper rash cream, ÖKO-TEST refers to a trace of lead found and also notes that mineral raw materials such as kaolin and silica can naturally contain traces of heavy metals.

Most importantly: There was and is no health risk when used as directed. We have also had this confirmed by an independent expert opinion.

The formula in question was only available for a relatively short period of just a few weeks and was therefore only distributed to a very limited extent on the market. The mineral raw materials relevant in this context are no longer used in the new formula.
